PURPOSE:To obtain a block suited for use purpose as a metallic sintered material which can be used efficiently for purification and deodorization by sintering specified pts.wt. of active carbon and specified pts.wt. of metallic sintering material so that a metallic sintering material is present between active carbon particles of. CONSTITUTION:The subject activated charcoal sintering material 10 is composed of 100 pts.wt. of active carbon and 100 to 1200 pts.wt. of metallic sintering material, and is obtained by allowing the metallic sintering material to be present between active carbon particles. Consequently, the active carbon sintering material has metallic sintering surface layers 1, 2 only due to the laid metallic sintering material and a mixed sintering layer 3 consisting of the active carbon particle and the metallic sintering material formed between the layers 1, 2. Thus, the whole strength is enhanced by the surface layers 1, 2. In addition, the surface layer 1, 2 have gas and liquid permeability, and allows both gas and liquid to permeate in the width direction of the active carbon sintering material 10. Especially, under pressurized conditions, it is possible to obtain an ideally efficient filtration effect and achieve deodorization and decoloration effects in an intermediate sintering layer 3 mixed with active carbon. |
