PURPOSE:To provide a quiet snow horn capable of giving a massive volume of snow-like dry ice in a high yield. CONSTITUTION:The snow horn for producing snow-like dry ice is produced by forming the ceiling part of the cylindrical cover (5) of the snow horn in a semi-spherical shell shape, the snow horn being used for expanding liquefied carbon dioxide at a pressure lower than the triple point pressure to produce snow-like dry ice, arranging at least one pair of blowing nozzles (7) placed at upper and lower positions in a state separated from each other at a prescribed distance in the axial direction of the cylindrical cover in the center of the semi-spherical shell shape of the cylindrical cover (5), forming an orifice for expressing a Joule-Thomson effect in each blowing nozzle (7), and forming the blowing direction of the pair of the blowing nozzles (7) in an inclined state directed to the intermediate position between the outer peripheral surface of the nozzle (4) and the inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical cover (5) at a vetically intermediate position between the blowing nozzles. |
