PURPOSE: To prevent the front part of a vehicle body from diving downward by absorbing impact at the time of vehicle collision with an absorbing means disposed behind a bumper, and by generating force pushing a running surface via a rotatable means, a knuckle, and a wheel. CONSTITUTION: An upper control arm 3 and a lower control arm 4 connect a knuckle 1 to a vehicle body, and an absorbing means 6 comprises a shock absorber 7 and an elastic member 8. A rod 10 of the shock absorber 7 and an extension rod 11 are connected to each other, and a rotatable arm 13 where a vertical part 12 and horizontal part 15 are formed almost perpendicularly to each other is pivotably mounted to the vehicle body with a pivot 14. The lower end of the vertical part 12 is connected to the absorbing means 6 with the extension rod 11, and a slider 16 is slidably disposed in the inside of the forward end of the horizontal part 15 to be connected to the knuckle 1. Movement of the rotatable arm 13 absorbs impact from the outside during the running, which prevents the front part of the vehicle body from going downward at the time of collision. |
