RECORDING METHOD FOR RECORDING MEDIUM USING HIGH-POLYMER LIQUID CRYSTAL

PURPOSE:To provide the recording method for recording media of a high recording sensitivity. CONSTITUTION:This recording method for the recording media consists in executing recording by subjecting a recording layer consisting of an oriented high-polymer liquid crystal to photoirradiation and changing the orientation state of the liquid crystal material. The recording of information is executed by a series of stages consisting of a stage for orienting the recording layer formed by mixing the high-polymer liquid crystal material and a light absorbent to the state oriented in a uniaxial direction and a stage for executing recording by irradiating the recording layer with a light beam by aligning the plane of orientation of the light beam to the main light absorption axis of the light absorbent.
