PURPOSE:To prevent interruption at upper and lower edges of a picture or production of a void at left and right sides of a screen when a stereoscopic picture is displayed onto a display device having the same aspect ratio as that of an image pickup element. CONSTITUTION:First and second optical images are formed on a 1st image forming face 9 by 1st and 2nd image pickup lenses. One-side ends of 1st and 2nd optical fiber bundles 10, 11 are opposite to each other to each of the left and right sides of the 1st image forming face and the other ends of the 1st and 2nd optical fiber bundles 10, 11 are arranged alternately for each picture element in the horizontal and vertical directions of the CCD 12. Thus, R, L information sets are picked up on the CCD 12 as a picture whose aspect ratio is 3:4 alternately in the horizontal and vertical directions. |
