PURPOSE:To simultaneously settle the accounts of plural transactions to the same customer to simplify the settlement and to improve the services to customers in a cash settlement system where a cash receiving/dispensing machine is connected to a POS terminal. CONSTITUTION:The sales record corresponding to the slip number supplied from a keyboard 12 of a cash receiving/dispensing machine 3 is retrieved through a sales file stored in a storage device 33 of a POS terminal equipment 2. If other sales records having the same customer code are detected before and after the relevant sales record or in a fixed range, the transaction amounts of these records having the same customer code are totalized and sent to the machine 3. The machine 3 settles the accounts of the totalized transaction amount. |
