The invention relates to a device for holding roll-up and retractable sunblinds on the windows of motor vehicles, characterised in that it consists of a support (4) fixed onto the bodywork between the roof (1) and roof lining (3), making it possible to fit a winder (2) for a curtain element (13), the whole thing being positioned so that it is hidden by the lining (3) of the roof (1), this lining being provided with a lateral slit (8) allowing the curtain element to pass through, which is placed at the lining level, matching it, so that as soon as it is incorporated this system eliminates the overloading of the doors, of the rear areas, increases the safety of the passengers and the occupiable space, the bottom of the blind is provided with a female part which is wider than the slit (8) in order to prevent it from rolling up completely, it is locked using plastic rivets with which the assembly is equipped. <IMAGE>
