The display is intended to provide an image in the form of pixels following a regular array, including at least three sets of respectively green, red and blue pixels, the pixels of each set being distributed according to a matrix including rows and columns, all the pixels of the same row being addressed simultaneously for writing by respective column conductors. Each of the column conductors allocated to red or blue pixels writes over a surface area approximately double that in which a column conductor allocated to a green pixel writes, and the time or spatial period for writing green pixels is half of the period for writing red and blue pixels. <IMAGE>
