<p>PURPOSE:To make a thermoplastic elastomer air bag able to be thinned in thickness by setting a value M to be calculated by a specific general expression to more than the specified value from those of tensile strength, breaking point elongation and tearing strength of a thermoplastic elastomer film. CONSTITUTION:A driver's seat air bag 1, consisting of thermoplastic polyurethane, is provided with a circular front panel 2 and a rear panel 3 being circular and having an inflator insertional opening 3A, and it is one that fused both peripheral edges of these front and rear panels 2 and 3 inseparably together (4). As for thermoplastic elastomer constituting the air bag, such one that value of M shown by an expression M=(S/E)XTX100 with tensile strength S (kg/cm) for 1cm in width, bearing point elongation E (%) and tearing strength T (kg) of a thermoplastic elastomer film is 4.0 or more is used.</p> |
