PURPOSE:To improve the operability by providing a means applying a power supply to a scramble release equipment and a means switching a reception channel to a scrambled broadcast channel interlockingly to the receiver. CONSTITUTION:A remote control transmitter 11 sends a decoder power supply ON/OFF switching infrared ray command signal 13 and a BS5 channel switching infrared ray command signal 12 continuously by depressing a predetermined button. The signal 12 enters a remote control reception section 14 of a television broadcast receiver 1 as a BS5 channel switching control signal 15 and it is inputted to a microprocessor 16. The processor 16 sends a switching control signal 18 to the television broadcast reception circuit 2 to select a BS5 channel. Moreover, the microprocessor 16 simultaneously sends a signal switching control signal 19 to a signal changeover circuit 3 and the circuit 3 is operated to select a video audio signal 7 from a decoder 4. On the other hand. an infrared ray command signal 13 enters a remote control reception section 22 of the decoder 4 to activate the power supply.
