PURPOSE:To simply form the top surfaces of gathered brush piles so as to be fit to the shape of the surface of a member, with which the brush piles are brought into contact, corresponding to the member. CONSTITUTION:Bases in definite shape are fastened on the surface of a cylinder 1, and a foundation 31, into which brush piles 32 are woven, is fastened on the surface of each of the bases, following which the cylinder 1 is allowed to rotate, and the top part of a bundle of the piles held with a base is allowed to move along a circle C and is cut by a cutter 4 located at a place on the moving circle. After that, the foundation 31 is removed from the base and is flatly stretched, and thus, a brush wherein the top surfaces of gathered brush piles are formed in the definite shape, is obtained. |
