PURPOSE:To make a fast and stable scan by forming a reflecting layer in a columnar optical member which has an axis of rotation almost in the center of the circle on its section which is parallel to the axis of rotation and along a diameter of the circle. CONSTITUTION:The columnar transparent optical member 1 is cut along its diameter 2. The reflecting layer 5 is formed on one of the cut surfaces of those two optical members 3 and 4 by vapor-depositing a reflecting material which reflects all of laser light incident on the cut surface or sticking a reflecting thin film sheet. Then, the cut surfaces of the members 3 and 4 are put together to form a photoscanner 6 which has the reflecting layer 5 internally. When the scanner 6 is rotated on the axis of rotation provided in the center of the circle in one direction, it is not affected by air resistance and it is rotated at a high speed; and no dust sticks and a stable scan is made. |
