Prepn. of a silanol free organo-silicon resin powder with a primary particle size of 0.1-200 nm and a granulate size of 10 nm- 200 microns comprises (a) interfacial hydrolysis of a poly-organosiloxane contg. triorganosiloxy units and SiO2 units; (b) sepg. the polyorganosiloxane hydrolysate as a dispersion in an organic solvent and treating it with an organo-silicon nitrogen cpd. from organo silyl amines and organo-silazanes to remove the silanol gps.; (c) spray drying the solvent dispersion to form a granulate. the polyorganosiloxane is comprised of trimethyl siloxy units and SiO2 units and after interfacial hydrolysis is reacted with hexamethyldi-silazone to remove the silanol gps.
