A coin deposit lock for use in shopping trolleys has functional components which, when a coin is inserted into a slot, release the key retained in a key chamber which provides the coupling with the next trolley and vice versa. This function is obtained only because the inner shape of the housing and the outer shape of the functional components are matched in such a way that at least one functional component is freely movable in its own chamber between a locking and a release position. In particular, a control bolt is inserted in the housing which, when it moves between two end positions, controls the functional components of the coin slot and the key chamber in such a way that its outer side acts as a control cam for these functional components. Such a coin deposit lock can be made robust and reliable in a very simple manner with simple components and is inexpensive to produce and use. |
