The invention concerns a container for free-flowing materials, the container consisting of a tubular body which is rectangular in cross-section, a top (10) and a bottom (9), the tubular body having four plane walls (1 to 4) at least one of which has a stiffener rib (15). In order to permit the walls to be made thinner, thus allowing savings in material, without affecting the manufacture or use of the container, the invention calls for each wall (1 to 4) to have a multiplicity of raised or recessed stiffener ribs (15) running parallel to each other within each wall (1 to 4) at an angle to the wall edge (5). |
