The invention relates to a device for setting up a chassis of a motor vehicle or trailer which is intended for receiving a rolling container and which has two guide rails which run parallel to the axial direction of the chassis and serve as rolling tracks for the wheels of the rolling container, for use with an interchangeable container. The invention is characterised by the following features: 1.1 the device comprises an essentially rectangular frame; 1.2 the contours of the frame correspond essentially to the peripheral contours of the set-down surface of interchangeable containers; 1.3 the frame is provided on one side (top side), at its four corners, with locking devices which are designed and arranged in a manner appropriate for engagement with an interchangeable container; 1.4 the frame is designed on its other side (bottom side) in a manner appropriate for placing onto the chassis and for locking thereto.
