PURPOSE:To obtain a new compound capable of selectively and efficiently giving a phosphorylated peptide useful for the preparation of an antibody usable as a diagnostic agent for cancer, Alzheimer's disease, etc. CONSTITUTION:The compound of formula I [R<1> is amino-protecting group, amino acid residue or peptide residue; R<2> is OR<3> or R<4> (R<3> is H or carboxyl- protecting group; R<4> is amino acid residue or peptide residue); X is bivalent hydrocarbon group] or its salt, e.g. N(alpha)-t-butoxycarbonyl-O- diallylphosphorylserine. The compound of formula I wherein R<2> is OR<3> can be produced by reacting an amino acid of formula II such as serine or threonine or its salt with a phosphorylation agent consisting of diallyloxy-N- diisopropylaminophosphine of formula III preferably in the presence of l-H- tetrazole of formula IV. The reaction is preferably carried out in THF at 15-35 deg.C for 1-2hr.
