PURPOSE:To accurately hold shape and connecting positions of cut fabrics and to exactly connect them by raising a rear end of the connected fabric, inserting a front end of the cut fabric to its lower side, and moving the connected fabric. CONSTITUTION:The automatic splicing machine comprises a raw fabric end position measuring unit 24 for detecting front and rear ends of a raw fabric 1 cut by a cutter 3, a first holder 12 mounted in a splicing mechanism 5 to hold the rear end of the cut fabric 1 to be movable in a direction of a delivery conveyor 7, and a second holder 14 for holding the rear end of the connected fabric 1 to be adjustable at the holding position. The rear end of the connected fabric 1 is raised by the holder 14, the front end of the cut fabric 1 is inserted to its lower end, the front and rear ends of the fabric 1 are connected, and it is moved to the holder 14 while holding the rear end of the newly connected fabric 1 by the holder 12. |
