<p>PURPOSE:To prevent generation of gear noise and torque variation at meshing of rotation transmission gears of an electric motor and a steering shaft, and improve steering feeling. CONSTITUTION:A large gear 11 on driven side having the gear part 11a on one side is provided on a pinion shaft 3. A small gear 12a to transmit torque from an engaged electric motor is provided on the side of the gear part 11a of the large gear 11, and a rotation transmission gear mechanism 13 by non- concentric shaft gears is constituted. A pressing means 21 to contact with a part of the anti-meshing face of the large gear in response to the meshing part with the small gear and press the large gear in the direction of meshing with the small gear is provided. This pressing means has rolling elements 20 provided on a supporting shaft so as to rollingly contact with the large gear in the rolling contact condition, and an adjusting means 22 to adjust the contact condition of the rolling elements to the large gear side is additionally provided.</p> |
