HEAT ACCUMULATING MATERIAL AND HEAT ACCUMULATING AND MACHINING METHOD USING IT

PURPOSE:To provide a heat accumulating material suitable for a practical application and provide a heat accumulating characteristic to fibrous structure using it by a method wherein latent heat heat accumulating agent having a predetermined melting point is enclosed within a resin shell to form a micro-capsule. CONSTITUTION:An electrical carpet 1 is constructed such that its surface sheet 2, a heater 3 and a thermal insulating member 4 are integrally assembled to each other. The heater 3 is connected to each of the surface sheet 2 and the thermal insulating member 4 through a coating layer 5. The coating layer 5 carries micro-capsules 6 enclosing latent heat heat accumulating agent therein. Filling of the micro-capsules 6 into the electrical carpet can be carried out by mixing and coating latex into the inner surface of the carpet. The latent heat heat accumulating agent enclosed in the micro capsules 6 is preferably illustrated paraffin having its solidifying point of about 40 deg.C. As material constituting outer walls of the micro-capsules 6, melamine resin may be applied. Utilization of the latent heat accumulating agent can be facilitated with such a heat accumulating material as described above.
