<p>PURPOSE:To uniformly and positively charge a toner grain and to form a clear picture without any fogging by incorporating nigrosine dye or pigment as a charge control agent and specifying the aniline content in relation to the binder resin. CONSTITUTION:This electrostatic charge image developing toner contains at least a binder resin, colorant and charge control agent. At least nigrosine dye or pigment is incorporated as the charge control agent, and the aniline content is controlled to be <=500ppm to the binder resin. The toner has relatively sufficient chargeability. Stabilized chargeability and picture density transition are enhanced even when plural copies are put on one another, and a decrease in picture density is suppressed when the toner is replenished. As aniline remains in the produced nigrosine to lower the picture density, aniline is removed completely from the toner or the amt. of aniline is reduced, and stabilized picture density transition is attained.</p> |
