Devices for the injection of a fuel-gas mixture with a canister-shaped gas surround sleeve enclosing a valve end of a fuel injection valve are already known, in which the casing part of the gas surround sleeve bears on the valve end of the fuel injection valve and in which an annular gas gap is formed between an injection hole plate and the base part of the gas surround sleeve. The said gas surround sleeves have an expensive construction and high manufacturing and assembly costs. The new device has the advantage of a low-cost, easily assemblable and easily adjustable gas surround sleeve (1). The gas surround sleeve (1) rests with its casing part (8), for example, only on four rounded edges (84) of the square-shaped valve end (4), whilst the casing part (8) surrounds the surfaces (83) of the valve end (4) with a radial clearance, so that intermediate gas spaces (90) for the gas feed are formed between them. The proposed device for the injection of a fuel-gas mixture is particularly suitable for injection into the intake pipe of a mixture-compressing internal combustion engine with applied ignition. <IMAGE>
