A rotating identification lamp is proposed which has a mounting (31) which carries a lamp (16) mounted in a stationary manner, and which is arranged on a luminaire base (11) and has a motor-driven reflector (17, 24) for rotating a light bundle, generated by the lamp (16), in an essentially horizontal plane. The lamp (16) can in this case be inserted into the mounting from below. As a result of the fact that at least that part of the mounting which carries the lamp (16) is mounted in such a manner that it is hinged and/or can be swivelled upwards, the lamp (16) can be inserted or replaced easily and rapidly in the swivelled-up state without having to remove the entire rotating identification lamp and without any risk of having to touch the glass of the lamp (16) or the optical surfaces of the reflector (17, 24). <IMAGE>
