PURPOSE:To obtain a burnt brick containing magnesia-spinel as a component, exhibiting high thermodynamic stability, resistant to the reduction with metals such as deoxidizer and reducing agent and having excellent corrosion resistance and slag infiltration resistance. CONSTITUTION:A brick having a composition containing 80-94wt.% of MgO, 5-13wt.% of Al2O3 and 1-7wt.% of ZrO2 or CaO is produced by mixing fine powder containing MgO and Al2O3 with fine powder of ZrO2 or CaO having particle diameter of <=43mum, kneading the mixture together with the remaining compounding raw materials, forming the kneaded composition and burning the formed product at >=1800 deg.C. |
