Rechargeable Pb-acid battery has an upper battery casing (10), lower battery casing (20), and an intermediate support extender (40). The bottom casing includes a number of support pins (29), integral with the casing. The extender has holes (43) passing through for flow of electrolyte and includes sockets (45) to fit over the pins (29). Pins (47) on the extruder fit in sockets (15) on the underside of the upper casing. Parts are pref. made of mouldable thermoplastic resin. Also claimed is a recombinant lead-acid battery. |
