A means for stationary mounting in a pipeline (1), for the at least fluid-tight shut-off of the pipeline (1) with the aid of an inflatable cushion (5) fastened on a securing means (2) permits disruption-free, resistant sealing of the pipeline (1) and, if appropriate, subsequent mounting in that the inflatable cushion (5) consists of a coated, non-elastic fabric and, in the non-inflated state, is configured as an annular hose with at least one folded wall (12) and with an external diameter which corresponds essentially to the internal diameter of the pipe (1), the hose, upon inflation, extending from the wall (8) of the pipeline (1) to the centre of the pipeline (1) until the pipeline (1) is closed off. <IMAGE>
