PURPOSE:To obtain an adhesive film excellent in flexibility, chemical resistance, heat resistance, tearability by hand, etc., by laminating a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer at least on one side of a biaxially oriented polyester film having a specified Young's modulus. CONSTITUTION:A biaxially oriented polyester film having a Young's modulus of 10-250kg/mm<2> is prepared from desirably a polyester composed mainly of ethylene terephthalate because of the stretchability, heat and chemical resistances, and the low cost. To impart flexibility to the film, it is desirable to copolymerize a polyester consisting mainly of polyethylene terephthalate with 1-40mol% long-chain aliphatic dicarboxylic acid having an 8C or higher alkylene group (e.g. dimer acid). A pressure-sensitive adhesive layer (e.g. an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive layer) is laminated at least on one side of this polyester film to produce a pressure-sensitive adhesive film. |
