Film-forming solution for film-coating, containing a polysaccharide of chitinous nature. It includes a combination of a solution of a mixed chitosan salt in a hydroalcoholic medium consisting of at least two alcohols, one of which is volatile under normal temperature and pressure conditions, while another is a plasticising agent, with at least two acids, one of which is volatile under normal temperature and pressure conditions, while another is soluble in the abovementioned alcoholic media. Use as physical carrier for various compounds, especially coloured pigments, chiefly for dressing grain and seeds.
