PURPOSE:To prevent waste of energy while prolonging the service life of a fan by operating the fan when the voltage of a vehicle mounted battery reaches a predetermined level through charging operation thereby discharging hydrogen gas being produced. CONSTITUTION:Terminal voltage is detected by means of a voltage detecting circuit 12 while charging a battery 10 mounted on a vehicle by means of a charger. The detected terminal voltage is fed to the positive terminal of a comparator 14 and compared with the voltage of a reference battery 16 connected with the negative terminal of the comparator 14. When the output voltage from the voltage detecting circuit 12 exceeds the voltage of the reference battery 16, the comparator 14 produces an output for turning a transistor 20 ON and a ventilation fan 22 is driven by a power supply 24 to discharge hydrogen gas produced through charging operation. This constitution prevents waste of power and avoids danger of explosion of hydrogen gas. |
