PURPOSE:To obtain a grain-oriented silicon steel sheet having fine grain size and extremely low in iron loss by introducing microstrains into a steel sheet contg. a specified amt. of Si while it is rapidly heated and then executing decarburizing annealing and final finish annealing. CONSTITUTION:Steel having a compsn. contg., by weight, <=0.10% C, 2.5 to 7.0% Si and ordinary inhibitor components, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities is rolled to regulate its thickness into a final product one. The obtd. strip is rapidly heated to >=700 deg.C at >=80 deg.C/sec heating rate. In the process of the rapid heating, e.g. an electric current is sent between rolls to introduce microstrains of >=0.1% nominal strains therein. Successively, decarburizing annealing and final finish annealing are executed. In this way, the grain-oriented silicon steel sheet in which the integrating degree in the (110) [001] orientation of the crystalline grains is high, having fine grain size and extremely low in iron loss can be obtd. |
