PURPOSE:To conduct non-formalin processing for obtaining a cellulosic textile good in touch feel, rich in washing durability and excellent in deodorizing performance, by immersing a cellulosic textile in an emulsion prepared by emulsifying a specific phosphazene compound and an alkyl silicate. CONSTITUTION:A cellulosic textile is furnished with a treating liquid which has been prepared by emulsifying (A) a polyalkoxyphosphazene compound of formula I (R1 is methyl, ethyl, propyl, butyl or phenyl; m is >=3, esp. 3-5) and (B) an alkyl silicate of formula II (R2 is alkyl; n is 0 or >=1) (pref. ethyl silicate) with (C) an emulsifying agent, an acetylene-based nonionic surfactant of formula III (x and y are each 0 or >=1, (x+y) is >=1) followed by making the emulsion alkaline with e.g. sodium carbonate. The resultant textile is then heat-treated to furnish it with durable denseness and deodorizing performance. In addition, this textile does not yellow due to change with time during its processing, being suitable in the case of cotton. |
