PURPOSE:To achieve the reduction of cost of a small sized printer capable of color-printing by a method wherein a control circuit which controls a pulse width of a driving signal supplied to a recording element corresponding to each color by sharing a part of the circuit is provided in a color recorder which carries out recording with a recording head wherein recording elements corre sponding to different colors are arranged in a line. CONSTITUTION:A head driving control part 115 resets a counter 118 which counts a clock signal in synchronization with a timing signal synchronized to a discharge pulse signal to raise a driving pulse width signal S12 which drives a recording head 1. Further, the control part 115 compares a counted value of the counter 118 with a value corresponding, by one to one, to ink of a plurality of colors stored in a plurality of registers 117, and lowers respectively the driving pulse width signal S12 according to the compared result. Furthermore, the recording head 1 which discharges rectilinearly the ink of a plurality of colors records an image data read in a specific order from an image memory 116 according to the driving pulse width signal S12. |
