Method for reducing pollution emissions by, inter alia, internal combustion engines, by virtue of a cold chemical process for oxygenating petrol or other fuels. This method is based on the total oxidation of the carbon by the use of acids which, decomposing the carbonates when cold, permit the indirect addition of O3 to the fuel, resulting in the increase in the combustion yield, and hence a decrease in the polluting gases, a decrease in consumption and an increase in performance.
