PURPOSE: To manufacture an artificial lens having improved resistance to breakage during use. CONSTITUTION: To disclose an improved artificial lens having at least one filament shaped haptics including a reinforcing amount of continuous matrix material dispersing disjunctive particles of multistage successive preparation elastomer polymer. An improved manufacturing method for integrated artificial lens is also disclosed. Included in the manufacture are to fabricate a composite lens material plate by forming around the axis of a concentrated optical lens the pellets including continuous matrix material dispersing disjunctive particles of multistage successive preparation elastomer polymer and fabricating a lens material board having a strengthened circular area around the central optical field, and then to manufacture the lens on mechanically processing at least one of filament shaped haptics out of the strengthened circular area.
