PURPOSE:To provide a liquid crystal projector capable of projecting an image satisfactorily. CONSTITUTION:A light source means is constituted of a xenon lamp 20 which generates light by discharging between two electrode terminals 20b, 20c located in the emitting direction, and a reflector 21 with a paraboloid where the light of the xenon lamp 20 is reflected as almost parallel beams, and also, the light source means is arranged so that the almost parallel beams can be made incident on a liquid crystal display panel, and furthermore, a connection line 20d connected to the electrode terminal 20b of a discharge lamp located at the emission side of the light of the light source means is formed into a thin plate shape, and also, it is arranged in parallel with the almost parallel beams. |
