PURPOSE:To provide the automatic focusing device in which a picture is not flickered when a focus lens is vibrated in the forward/backward direction on an optical axis. CONSTITUTION:Counters 22, 23 are used to detect a position of a magnification lens 3 and a focus lens 5 in the focusing, and very small vibration information of the magnification lens 3 and very small vibration information of the focus lens 5 corresponding to the position of the magnification lens 3 and the focus lens 5 are read from memories 26, 27. Then stepping motors 8, 11 are operated by a command from an MPU 18, and the magnification lens 3 and the focus lens 5 are vibrated in the optical axis direction based on the very small vibration information read from the memories 26, 27 and the focus direction is detected. |
