PURPOSE:To enable high-density recording and to prevent the deterioration of data discrimination data by obtaining the pulse train condition most suitable for optical disks to perform optical recording. CONSTITUTION:The intensity of laser beam irradiated to an optical recording medium D is risen from the intensity Ppre keeping the preheating state of a medium D at the constant temperature to the higher intensity Pw1, then it is fallen to the lower intensity PLT after keeping the Pw1 for the time Tw1 and then the intensity is modulated between the PLT and the intensity Pw2 higher than the PLT, and a mark is formed on the medium D. Accordingly, Pw2, PLT, and the time Tw2 keeping the Pw2 are controlled to make the peak temperature position or spot center position temperature of laser beam on the medium D equal when the Tw1 and Tw2 and the optical recording is performed. In short, the combination of respective values such as Ppre or the like is decided according to the binary information to be recorded. A pulse waveform shaping circuit 10 shapes the pulse wave, a light source driving circuit 1 modulated the pulse to drive a light source 2, and the recording is performed by the laser beam. |
