Building-vibration damper for basic and higher frequencies

The main weight oscillates on the building (1), and a lighter one (5) is suspended from it. Second coil springs of wire rope (6.2) are mounted between the two weights. The double pendulum mechanism is so tuned that at the basic frequency of the building the weights oscillate in phase, while at the higher frequency they vibrate in anti-phase.Third wire-rope coil springs can be mounted between the lighter weight and the building. Both weights are rings and the lighter one is axially and radially set inside to heavier one.
