<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a recording fluid which is desirable for use in a recording device for noncontact and nonimpact recording, does not cause plugging and has high reliability by using a dye, deionized water and a complexing agent as the essential components. CONSTITUTION:A recording fluid for nonimpact recording is produced by using a dye (e.g. Direct Black), deionized water and a complexing agent as the essential components. A desirable example of the complexing agent used is ethylenediamine-tetraacetic acid. This acid has the function of reacting with metals such as calcium and magnesium which have a great possibility of being deposited from the recording fluid to form a complex and to thereby stabilize the fluid. When this fluid is used and recording is performed by jetting ink drops from a nozzle, the nozzle does not plug with a deposit, and high-speed recording can be smoothly performed.</p> |
