PURPOSE:To increase the recording capacity and to obtain a reproducing signal with less crosstalk by making a multivalued recording/reproducing of a magneto- optic disc D possible. CONSTITUTION:When two laser lights BP, BS are condensed and cast in parallel to each other within the same track R and modulated, a plurality of kinds of pit patterns are recorded in two strings. The pit patterns are detected and identified by multi holograms 15a, 15b obtained by recording reflected waves of all kinds of the pit patterns, whereby data signal are reproduced.
