<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an adhesive which gives an excellent adhesion between a polyester film and a metal sheet and is useful for producing a food can by compounding a specific polyester resin compsn. with a specified amt. of a stress- relaxing agent. CONSTITUTION:The adhesive is prepd. by compounding 100 pts.wt. polyester resin having a number-average mol.wt. of 7,000-40,000 with 2-200 pts.wt. polyester oligomer having polymerizable double bonds in an amt. of 0.3-5 mol/kg and a number-average mol.wt. of 300-5,000 and then compounding the resulting compsn. with 0.5-250 PHR stress-relaxing agent. Examples of the agent are silica, bentonite, and clay. A metal sheet is coated with the adhesive, laminated with a polyester film, and irradiated with an electron beam to cure the adhesive, giving a laminate excellent in resistance to retorting and useful for a food can.</p> |
