Opto-electronic control for 2-stroke combustion engine outlet valve

The optoelectronic control uses an IR detector for continuous monitoring of the temp. within the engine combustion chamber coupled to a control unit, responding to the temp. difference between the cold air supplied via a compressor and an inlet valve within the cylinder head and the hot combustion gases. The control unit provides continuous commands for closing or opening the outlet valve, to prevent loss of cold air, to maintain optimum energy efficiency.The discharge of gases through the outlet channel is controlled by the outlet valve, in conjunction with the piston position.
