A method for mounting a magnetic plate (5) on a disc substrate (2) includes the steps of placing the magnetic plate (5) of a transparent synthetic material within a housing recess (6) of the disc substrate (2), abutting a horn (17) of an ultrasonic wave generating unit generating torsional vibrations on a rim of the housing recess (6) of the disc substrate under application of a predetermined pressure, and ultrasonically forming a protrusion (19) direct towards an inner space of the housing recess (6) to mount the magnetic plate (5) on the disc substrate (2) by means of the protrusion (19). <IMAGE> |
