PURPOSE:To provide a monomolecular film-laminated substrate obtd. by easily depositing monomolecular films having uniform orientation by LB method on such a base material that the surface is apt to have irregular roughness such as a transparent electrode. CONSTITUTION:A transparent electrode 10, 13 is formed on a glass substrate where several layers of monomolecular films are to be formed by LB method. On the surface of the electrode, fine grooves 18 having uniform depth are formed in a specified direction by using a powdery diamond to elminate irregular roughness of the surface of the transparent electrode 10, 13. When a monomolecular film is formed on the surface of the transparent electrode 10, 13 by LB method, molecules of the monomolecular film can be uniformly oriented and thus, a monomolecular film having uniform orientation can be deposited.
