PURPOSE:To attain high density recording by previously recording a reference signal for deciding optimum conditions on the recording, reproducing and erasure of an optical disk on the area of setting on the optical disk. CONSTITUTION:A magneto-optical disk drive in an optical disk recorder is kept in 50 deg.C environment. The reference signal is reproduced at a fixed time interval before required information is recorded on the optical disk or from immediately after the optical disk is loaded on a disk drive device. Then, the recording is performed by reference power recorded on the optical disk. Whether recorded power is optimum or over or under is judged by comparing the recorded result with recorded patterns by varying respective power Pw1, Pw2 previously recorded on the optical disk. Then, the optimum power is retrieved to be set in the case of overpower or underpower. The optimum power is obtained by similar operation even when ambient temperature is lowered. Thus, the recording is performed under the optimum condition. |
