PURPOSE:To prevent troubles to occur at the running tape and remove dirts of head by interposing a head protective tape between the thermal head and the transfer tape. CONSTITUTION:A head protective tape 34 made of heatproof plastics is formed endless. The tape is put on three guide rollers in contact with a transfer tape 6 on the head and on the right and left sides thereof. The transfer tape 6 passes through a tension roller 40, guide roller 36, a head 1, a guide roller and then wound up with a reel 12. On the other hand, driven by the running of the transfer tape 6, the head protective tape moves at the same speed and in the same direction as that of the transfer tape. |
