<p>PURPOSE: To provide an eddy current probe for detecting a defect, particularly such defect as cracking in circumferential direction, in a pipe of conductive material. CONSTITUTION: A coil unit which comprises one transmission coil T and a pair of reception coils R1 and R2 having electromagnetic polarity, opposite in direction to each other, for outputting a differential output is assigned in multiple numbers around a housing 28, to constitute an eddy current probe 26 of bracelet-like cylinder. Multiple coil units are assigned around the housing 28, so that each of them are displaced from each other in both axis direction and circumference direction for eliminating leakage within inspection range of the pipe, constituting the probe 26 which detects a defect in arbitrary direction.</p> |
