PURPOSE:To provide an electric vehicle employing a motor as a drive source in which abnormality can be informed depending on the inclination angle by detecting current value of the motor and inclination of the body during travel, comparing the values thus detected with standard values stored in a memory, and informing abnormality through an informing means if the difference exceeds a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:Current flowing through a motor 8 is normally detected through a current detecting circuit 12 and inputted to a microcomputor 20. The microcomputor 20 is provided with a ROM 22 storing standard current values of the motor 8 for the inclination of the body. A normal motor current calculating circuit 23 fetches standard value from the ROM depending on the inclination of the body detected through an inclination angle detecting circuit 13 while a comparing circuit 24 compares an actually measured value with the standard value and an informing means 25 informs that an abnormal current is flowing if the difference is higher than a predetermined value. This constitution detects abnormality depending on the inclination angle and prevents overturn, fracture of electric vehicle and abnormal power consumption. |
