<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an exhaust particulate removing device for a diesel engine in which a particulate filter is not damaged through melting in the case that an exhaust gas temperature of the engine is high and the engine is deceleratingly operated. CONSTITUTION:In an exhaust particulate removing device, particulates in the exhaust gas are captured by means of filters 5A, 5B arranged on an exhaust pipe 2 of an engine 1, and secondary air is supplied at a specified time for regenerating the filters. Secondary air passages 7, 8 are arranged respectively upstream and downstream from the filters 5A, 5B, while an air pump 9 is arranged on the upstream secondary air passage. An exhaust gas temperature ThE is detected by means of a temperature sensor ST. When the exhaust gas temperature ThE exceeds a specified temperature T1, the air pump 9 is operated, and a large amount of secondary air is discharged from the secondary air passage on the upstream side of the filters 5A, 5B, for lowering the exhaust temperature. As a result, damage of the filters is prevented even under deceleration condition of the engine at a high temperature.</p> |
