PURPOSE:To improve the processing efficiency by relieving the load of a control section in the case of using a picture read section. CONSTITUTION:In the operation of picture read by a scanner section 24 (picture read section), to which of a controller 22 (1st control section) or an engine control section 23 (2nd control section) is in charge of setting a picture read section for each line and each page is selected. Furthermore, in the case of picture reading of an original by the scanner section 24, an original sensor provided this side of the picture read sensor in the scanner section 24 senses the tail end of the original and informs it to the engine control section 23. The engine control section 23 discriminates the point of time when the original passes through the picture read sensor based on the sensing signal and informs it to the controller 22 at that point of time to terminate the picture read operation of the original by the scanner section 24. |
